The MOnday Herd

I am a hot weather, condensation soaked beer, sweltering heat kind of individual.  Sure sweating ain’t the prettiest thing out there, but hey. . whatcha going to do?

For quite a while my brother and I use to go cliff jumping during the summer. . . the one song we used to listen to EVERYTIME we would go was “Ghostwriter” by RJD2.  It will be, without a doubt, one of the songs I will always associate with summer.

Windows down, warm summer morning, the purr of the Volvo 850 inline 5 and this song saturating the air.   .   .   .   .   I love summer.

What I love about summer is everything is alive, everyone is energized to just go outside and do stuff, try something new, hangout and socialize.  I simply cannot get enough.  I love vacations, BBQ’N with friends, the beach, barefoot’n around.

If you have not yet planned a vacation, you need to get on that.  It’s a necessity; life is way to short not to be enjoying the big + little things.  It doesn’t have to be a grand adventure to some unknown territory in the south pacific.  A trip to the beach for the long weekend, or a backpack trip for a few days will suffice just as well.  Try something new…. ya know what they say; Variety is the spice of life.

The herd opted for a stay-cation this year.   .   .   . shades, relaxin and a few brewskies in the backyard is good enough for them.  Except neither Joy or Tech are of legal age yet, even in doggie years.

I heart RJD2.

I have a real treat for you…hit up youtube, find some sweet old Power Rangers action sequences, throw them on mute and toss on Ghostwriter…most badass choreographed fight music ever, I promise you this!

Love that last shot, hilarious!

Dempsey | CT Pet Photography

That’s what his name was!! C’mon it was soooo easy; obviously the first name anyone should have guessed!

Anyways, Dempsey, Andi (check her site out, totally rules), and I had an awesome time with our 1/2 rockstar, 1/2 reg session.  A HUGE thanks to Skylark airport which let us pretty much roam around and do whatever we wanted.

We ruled the airport, and Dempsey, well he loved every second of it.  I mean what dog wouldn’t love sauntering around the airport like he owned the place!?

I hope Dempsey enjoyed his session as much as I did!

Your pictures (and subjects) make me smile and wish I had room in my home to rescue more dogs. I recently started the volunteer application at the Seattle Humane Society and can’t wait to dive in. Thank you for keeping me inspired.

There’s no way these 4 won’t be adopted now… You really captured them well.

The Monday Herd

With a wedding Saturday and the LOST season finale on Sunday(yes I watched LOST all the way from the beginning; 6 years ago)

I am physically and emotionally drained. . . . . .

This Monday Herd is short & sweet.

Life is too short not too smile . . .even if it is a slobbery smile
